Winter Lake Party

: I know this is all a bit off-topic but I thought everyone would need a good laugh during the snowstorm weather. Think THAW (its coming this week you know). But until then; read on. : :

: ICE Party on a frozen lake is a yearly event in our town. : :

: Everybody just parked on 35 feet of water. Ice is 17 inches thick. Drove my 5,600 lb. Silverado on it. Had cruise control set at 70 mph on the ice. WOW. This is some winter! We even went snowboarding at 40 mph off it using water ski ropes. :

: Lots of games but tug-0-war was the most popular. :

: Of course,, everybody got loaded and then decided to kill the snowman. Ernie (who benches "400 lbs") decided a full on tackle would flatten his butt best. It did and I thought we had a dead snowman on our hands. : :

: But you still have to pay attention when you are driving on ice (lest you get too near a house that has a dock bubbler). And then you make an oil slick and bubbles whether you want to or not! No, he got out before it sunk 34 feet to the bottom. But when it was finally grappled and winched out we didn't know it was upside down on its roof when it was winched across the rocky bottom. oops! :

: And here is our submarine after 10 hours of winching. Lesson learned: you can't plow water.
