School Packages

If you are going to ride like the pros, train like the pros. Enjoy 6 days on the snow with Driven’s partners in snowmobile specific education, gaining the necessary knowledge to be safe and have fun in the backcountry.

Level 1: January 28th – February 2nd, 2024

Level 2: January 29th – February 3rd, 2024

The Level 1 School includes an AIARE Level 1 Avalanche Certificate, S.A.F.E.R. First Aid Certificate and 2 days of Backcountry Mechanics, learning how to maneuver your snowmobile in the backcountry. Level 2 includes 2 days of Backcountry Mechanics, AIARE Avalanche Rescue Certificate and AIARE Level 2 Avalanche Certificate.

Avalanche Rescue is for everyone, whether you are just learning how to use your transceiver, an aspiring professional, or a backcountry traveler with many years of backcountry experience. This one-day course is a place to both learn new skills and keep your existing skills sharp. Avalanche Rescue is a prerequisite for the AIARE 2. Must be able to traverse the backcountry on snowmobile. Open to snowbikes but not snowbike specific.

The Level 1 is a two-day course that provides an introduction to using decision making tools to help a group manage risk while traveling in avalanche terrain. Students can expect to develop a good grounding in how to prepare for and carry out a backcountry trip, to understand basic decision making while in the field, and to learn rescue techniques required to find and dig up a buried person (if an avalanche occurs and someone in the party is caught). Must be able to traverse the backcountry on snowmobile. Open to snowbikes but not snowbike specific.

The Level 2 is a two-day course for those who have taken an AIARE 1 and Avalanche Rescue and have had at least a year of backcountry travel experience. The AIARE 2 provides backcountry leaders the opportunity to advance their avalanche knowledge and decision making skills by applying their skills to new terrain and situations. Avalanche Rescue is a prerequisite for the AIARE 2. It is highly recommended that participants gain at least one season’s worth of backcountry travel experience between taking the AIARE 1 and the AIARE 2. Must be able to traverse the backcountry on snowmobile. Open to snowbikes but not snowbike specific.

RRS Backcountry Guide:

Gain confidence with a backcountry guide. A guided backcountry experience gets you into great riding areas and the deep snow, while challenging your motorized skills with varying levels of terrain, snow, handling, and control. A great opportunity for those physically demanding deep snow adventure.

First Aid & CPR

Snowmobilers Approach to First Aid Emergency Response (S.A.F.E.R.) is a post avalanche clinic geared for the Backcountry Snowmobiler wanting to learn the basics in first aid and life saving techniques during a traumatic injury. Participants will receive a First Aid CPR certificate.

Wilderness First Aid:

A 16+ hour course designed to provide participants with the essentials of first aid that will better prepare them for injuries and accidents in the backcountry. Participants will receive the necessary Wilderness First Aid certificate to achieve snowmobile guide credentials required by government agencies such as the United States Forest Service (USFS).

RRS Skills Clinic

(Daily Clinics & Private)

The Ride Rasmussen Style Clinics are great for everyone, whether you want to advance your skills or just beginning to learn. It’s our mission to help you become a better backcountry snowmobiler by teaching you tips and tricks to traverse the terrain easier and safer. Even if you have limited time on a snowmobile, our team is here to help you have fun and stay safe.

Don’t feel like you will be holding the group back or contrarily waiting for the groups as our intention is not to put on maximum miles each day, but to exercise technique and improve rider ability. Everyone will be challenged well beyond their limits and enjoy the adventure to the fullest.
